Czech coach mixes pairs up to take first place via golden set in Zug
Zug, Switzerland, May 19, 2012 - The Czech Republic completed a splendid campaign in Zug as the tandem composed by Marketa Slukova/Kristyna Kolocova and Hana Klapalova/Lenka Hajeckova claimed the final there but only via a golden set as Greece opposed real resistance up to the very end. With this result the Czechs qualified for the final stage of the CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup which is scheduled for mid June in Moscow, Russia.

Norway's guys best Switzerland to finish atop of the charts in Zug
Zug, Switzerland, May 19, 2012 - Norway eventually claimed the top of the podium in Zug as the semifinal stage of the CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup ended there with the guys from Scandinavia edging the home heroes of Switzerland with the score of 3:1. While the guests evidently celebrated their success, still the Swiss pairs were happy for having also made it to the final stage of the competition which is coming up in mid June in Alanya, Turkey, and where a spot for the 2012 Olympics in London will be at stake. Switzerland is indeed positioned higher than Sweden – runner-up of the other semifinal in Sèvres – in the CEV Country Ranking and hence taking the last spot available to compete in the finals.
